The Reinvention: from Graduate Student to Clinical Fellow

Get the confidence to navigate your first year as an independent clinician.

Discover the fundamentals of earning your ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCs) and licensure during your Clinical Fellowship (CF) year as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Designed for new graduates in Communication Disorders or Speech Language Pathology, the Reinvention program supports clinicians navigating their Clinical Fellowship in the school setting, helping turn academic knowledge into confident, real-world clinical practice.

It is also well-suited for clinicians who have recently completed their CF and earned their CCCs but are seeking additional support, clearer systems, and more efficient workflows to make clinical decisions easier and more sustainable in the years ahead.

The Reinvention program gets into the day-to-day practices of your new career. Designed by a seasoned Speech Language Pathologist, the curriculum and insights focus on real problems and expectations.
This program includes: Caseload organization and workflow systems that keep you from feeling overwhelmed
Assessments, reports, IEPs, and documentation expectations
Goal writing and professional decision-making
Communication strategies within school and district settings

Course Content

The Challenges You Face During Your CF Year
During your CF year, you go straight to decision-making on your own. While you’ll also have a CF Mentor, their availability is often limited. On top of that, you’ll be expected to manage a full caseload right away.

Let go of self-doubt and outdated habits
Reinvention requires releasing the beliefs, behaviors, and emotional patterns that no longer support the person you are becoming. In this module, you’ll learn how self-doubt is formed, why old habits persist, and how to break free from them with clarity and intention.
